Amnesty for Illegals Will Severely Hurt African-Americans

Illegals Amnesty
Illegals are already waging a war against Black people in southern California

AFRICANGLOBE – Three members who hold seats with the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights warned the leader of the Congressional Black Caucus that granting amnesty to the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants now living in the United States would negatively impact African-Americans.

The members‚ Vice Chairwoman Abigail Thernstrom, and Commissioners Peter Kirsanow and Gail Heriot — made their views known in a letter to the caucus head, Rep. Marcia Fudge, on Thursday.

“In light of recent debates on comprehensive immigration reform, we are writing to address a rarely-discussed effect of granting legal status or effective amnesty to illegal immigrants,” the three members wrote, Breitbart reported. “Such grants of legal status will likely disproportionately harm lower-skilled African-Americans by making it more difficult for them to obtain employment, and depressing their wages when they do obtain employment.”

The commission members went on, in their letter: “The increased employment difficulties will likely have negative consequences that extend far beyond economics.” In their letter, the commission members also refer to a 2008 briefing addressing just that topic.

Then, information presented at the briefing found that illegal immigration “has a disparate impact on African-American men because these men are disproportionately represented in the low-skilled labor force,” Breitbart reported.

The commission members concluded in their letter by asking if there were enough jobs in the low-skilled market to accommodate both African-Americans and 11 million illegal immigrants — and “the answer is no,” Breitbart reported.

Breitbart did not report any response from Ms. Fudge, or from other members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

The Affect Of Illegal Immigrants On Southern California

  1. I actually have four children who will be attending college if they choose to do so. You miss the very important fact that our people have always suffered from high unemployment after the decline of industry in major American cities. Rather than fall for this xenophobic bullsh*t we need to focus our attention one education for our young people so that they become the innovators and creative thinker (problem solvers). These devils will have us (the Black and Brown people in america) at each others throats continually over crumbs.

  2. Johnny you have a point. This will completely devastate black youth especially since its generally younger folks that do low-skilled labor. Whether it be at fast-food chains, Walmart, you name it. Abigail Thernstorm is historically, statistically, and strategically on point with the realities that we’ve experienced in the past and the reality that we currently face.

  3. dont you see, we allowed our corporations to steal their livlihoods and now theyre on the move to get their shit back, just like we should be.
    there will be no jobs for us man. the capitalist game of divide and conquer lives on. how do you equate the victims of our enemies as now being our enemies?
    thats how the white folks you speak of love to do. the enemy are the slavers, not the slaves….lets gang up on and eliminate the slaver and split the assets amongst us all?
    or are we only gonna beat up on our potential allies to be our enemy’s favorite pet?

  4. Good luck competing with them for jobs. With white people controlling them all, who do you think they’re more likely to hire? The ones their ancestors have enslaved or the ones who have European ancestry? {{-_-}}

  5. GTFOH!!! As if Black folks have been benefiting large scale from the low-skill labor market. At the end of the day, companies have been doing what they need to do to ensure they are getting the cheapest low-skilled labor possible. Abigail Thernstorm’s suggestion is divisive and has very little to do with helping “African-Americans”.

  6. indeed it will. always has. yes all these so called black leaders and politicians are championing this nonsense. why? they are thinking about their own political futures. if we get real this even negatively impacts african and caribbean immigrants because it will give an unfair advantage the the majority of illegal immigrants who are here from countries they could walk across a board from.
