AFRICANGLOBE – The recent announcement by racist child killer George Zimmerman that he was going to auction the gun he used to murder Trayvon Martin, 17, caused national outrage. Zimmerman claimed that the gun was part of American history and that he was going to use part of the funds to fight Black Lives Matter’s violence against police. A laughable statement since the Black Lives Matter movement does not support police violence. As for American history, even the Smithsonian Museum chimed in and posted on its Twitter page:
“We have never expressed interest in collecting George Zimmerman’s firearm, and have no plans to ever collect or display it in any museums”
The very thought of another attempt by Zimmerman to profit off the murder of Trayvon Martin caused many on the Internet and in print media to call him one of the most vile men in America.
The original auction site ‘Gunbroker.Com seems to agree and has pulled the item from its auction site. The ad on the site by Zimmerman read “I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American firearm icon. The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012.”
The auction was supposed to start Thursday morning but now a search result reads “Sorry, but the item you have requested is no longer in the system.” In addition, Gunbroker.Com has scrubbed its Twitter and Facebook pages of the information. However someone out there in America still agrees with Zimmerman’s actions and has stepped in to help.
The website UnitedGunGroup.Com is now hosting the auction of the weapon and according to the site, Zimmerman is about to make serious cash. The countdown clock as of today has three days left on the auction and the bidding had reached $ $66,165,876.00. This was due to a series of fake bids by many people. The fake bids resulted in the auction briefly being taken offline for a few hours while fake bids were scrubbed from the auction site.

Zimmerman’s actions and the bidding on this item follow a familiar pattern in America. When Blacks were lynched it was often a public event. Pictures were taken and made into postcards and bits of the victim’s body were taken as souvenirs. So it should be no surprise that white and Hispanic racists once again want a piece of America’s history of murdering Black people.
