AFRICANGLOBE – South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters party says it will never rest until Africa is free from economic exploitation and violence and‚ like the generation of freedom struggle icon Nelson Mandela‚ will use “whatever revolutionary means possible to achieve economic freedom in our lifetime”.
In a statement commemorating Mandela Day‚ the EFF said it would also not rest until the “minerals beneath our soil‚ the land and the banks belong to the people”.
“The EFF has directly taken from Mandela’s generation and chosen a generational mission of Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime. We have taken the baton from his generation to continue running towards the finish line with the socialist and internationalist struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime‚” the party asserted.
“On this day we salute a revolutionary and a freedom fighter who spent each day of his life seeking to contribute towards freedom for all. Mandela dreamt of an Africa at peace with itself and a more just international economic and judicial order‚” it added.
