AFRICANGLOBE – Julius Malema is “a very happy man” and is getting all he wanted for Christmas – his bride.
The charismatic politician is tying the knot with long-time sweetheart Mantwa Matlala this coming weekend.
He is set to wed in a traditional ceremony in his hometown of Seshego in Limpopo.
Matlala, also from Seshego, is believed to be an accountant practicing in Johannesburg.
“The ceremony will be private” Malema said.
“I’m marrying into a private family and I’m asking people to respect that.”
The charismatic politician spoke about the importance of family, highlighting that people “need to fit their families in their hectic schedules”.
Asked about the highlight of his year, the politician said it was starting his party and getting 25 members in Parliament.
“To lead a new political formation which wasn’t even a year old and to have it become the third largest party in South Africa was an experience and a half for me. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life.”
Malema argued that while campaigning for the EFF, the party didn’t have money, but millions of people still voted.
Yesterday, Malema appealed for privacy, even from his EFF supporters. Sources say his future wife is an accountant and a very private person.
