AFRICANGLOBE – Ethiopia set to built the country’s biggest data center next year, as part of plans to expand telecom services across the nation, officials from the Ministry of Innovation and Technology said.
The new data center project with high data capacity will help to provide quality telecom services with resonable price, according to a report from Fana Brodcasting.
This is said in an international meeting held today on National Information Technology Infrastructure and National Data Center.
Ministry of Innovation and Technology is working with other partners for the construction of the data center.
According to a recent study conducted by the minsitry, there is a huge gap in technology access in Ethiopia.
Upon completion, the project will solve problems in related to service quality and price.
In additiin the project will enhance national internet penetration accross Ethiopia.
