George Zimmerman’s Girlfriend Changes Her Story Wants Charges Dropped

AFRICANGLOBE – George Zimmerman’s girlfriend has changed her story.

On Nov. 18, Samantha Scheibe called police to say that Zimmerman had pointed a shotgun at her and locked her out of her Apopka, Fla., home. Zimmerman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief.

He was released the next day on $9,000 bond and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device, remain in the state of Florida, and refrain from possessing firearms. A prosecutor told the judge that Scheibe had told authorities she was in fear for her life and that Zimmerman had previously choked her. He was ordered to have no contact with Scheibe.

But according to a new motion in the case Scheibe has changed her mind, does not wish to file charges against Zimmerman, and wants the no-contact order lifted.

In a statement attached to a motion seeking to modify Zimmerman’s bond conditions, Scheibe says that she felt “intimidated” when police questioned her and “may have misspoken.”

“I was not allowed to call an attorney not was I allowed to eat or drink anything for a very long time,” Scheibe says.

In the statement, Scheibe admits the two fought on the day she called 911, but says “George never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner.” She says she called police because she was “overwhelmed and upset at the time.”

But now, Scheibe says, “I want to be with George.”

In July, Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder in the shooting death of 16-year-old Trayvon Martin.
