Donald Trump Won, But White Supremacy Won’t Win Forever

AFRICANGLOBE - Donald Trump was able to tap into the angst that too many Whites felt during the Obama presidency, and he was able to win the presidency in the name of White solidarity and White supremacy. It seems incongruous that a rich, privileged, urban businessman should become the voice of the working class disgruntled, the rural neglected (Trump got 62 percent of the rural vote), and White women. But this is the new reality, the triumph of white privilege and hate rhetoric.

Black America Don’t Worry About Trump – The Gantt Report

AFRICANGLOBE - No matter who is President, African Americans will always have to depend on themselves! We have to make our own money, generate our own revenue and create our own job opportunities. We have to police and protect our own neighborhoods. We have to educate our own youth and others in our communities that seek knowledge and wisdom. We have to make our own decisions about our community. We have to control the politics in our community and abandon fake leaders that are merely puppets of the Democratic and Republican Parties.

Trump’s Victory And The Duping Of Black Women By White Feminists

AFRICANGLOBE - To the White feminist women for Trump, I’m so done with y’all. I’ve never felt so betrayed, horrified and disappointed by a group of people in my life. Today, I feel like you slit my soul’s throat with your knife of privileged indifference. Perhaps I’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, or perhaps I’ve been operating under the guise of misplaced faith in you. But here I am, days after, and I want to scream at this pain and betrayal I’m feeling. Like so many feminists in this election and so many more before it, the choice defaulted to Whiteness, above all else. Whiteness at any cost.

What Hillary Clinton’s Loss Means For Dumb Black Women

AFRICANGLOBE - It was late Tuesday night, into the early morning, when fear set in. Trump takes Florida flashed across the screen. Florida. Florida? The battleground state had swung right. But it wasn’t until later, Pennsylvania, a state Obama won last election, delivered the final blow. Social media was ablaze with memes. The #Mood hashtag reflects feelings of voters in disbelief. We went into the election confident Hillary would make history as the first woman president.

Most White Women Sided With Trump Not Hillary

AFRICANGLOBE - One might think Donald Trump's sexist and vulgar statements would sway female voters away from the candidate. But roughly 53% of white women voted for Trump on Tuesday. White women turned out for Trump far more than other minority women. Around 4% of Black women and 26% of Latina women voted for the Republican candidate.

10 Reasons Why Trump’s Win Is ‘White Supremacy’s Last Stand In...

AFRICANGLOBE - Political commentator Danielle Moodie-Mills doesn't believe sexism played as large a role in Hillary Clinton's tragic loss as most left wing pundits have claimed. "I do not believe that this is people saying I couldn't possibly have a woman in this role," Mills said following Trump's big win. "This is so much bigger than that," she continued. "...and I will say it because I have literally nothing left to lose tonight.. this is literally white supremacy's last stand in America."

By Electing Trump White America Proves How Much It Really Hates...

AFRICANGLOBE - In their day-after assessments of what went wrong for their candidate, liberals and progressives can be expected to advance the economic argument, the one that says it was the white people left behind in the new economy who elected Trump. But that’s just too simplistic an explanation to cover the whole reason for his victory. This did not happen simply because of economic displacement; it’s about changes in the social order.

Trump Won, Blacks At Fault? – The Gantt Report

AFRICANGLOBE - I told you what would happen and you knew this but the political party and political candidates that you love were absolutely clueless! White nationalism won the election and in our case, the only way to deal with white nationalism is Black empowerment and Black nationalism! What we need is Pan Africanism! What we need is Black unity and Black leaders that have an international view and perspective.

A More Dangerous World Is Probably Coming After The U.S. Presidential...

Kenyan Software To Prevent Fraud In U.S. Election

AFRICANGLOBE - Whatever the outcome of this year's election may be: Ushahidi - a tool sparked by crisis in Kenya - will help to keep elections fair in the United States. A group of tech-savvy Kenyans got together and developed the crowdsourcing software that let people report cases of violence and tracked them on a map. This provided a far more complete picture of the situation than any news outlet. Their technology has been used for all kinds of purposes - from earthquake response to journalism. And this year, it will help monitor the U.S. election.

The Presidential Election And The Threat Of White Supremacist Violence

AFRICANGLOBE - It is a terrible feeling to sense a threat coming, and know that many are abetting it by promoting the man who propels it. It is worse when the threat reveals itself to be real, yet complacency remains, and you do not know whether this reaction is rooted in apathy or cowardice. A phenomenon is taking place all over the Western world, as demagogic white nationalists rise, elites falsely predict their loss or play down the ramifications of their win, and hate crimes explode once victory is achieved, as witnessed in post-Brexit UK. It was all predictable, but now there is no clear organized process to stop it.
