Namibian Minister Wants More Investment in Tourism

The Namibian Trade and Industry Minister, Hage Giengob, defended on Thursday in Ondjiva city in the southern Cunene province the need for the Namibian and Angolan entrepreneurs to invest more in tourism, so as to stimulate the development of the sector.

The Namibian official said that the development of the sector will bring in the economic area huge incomes.

According to him, Angola and Namibia have potential to promote tourism industry through discussion and demonstration of intention and thus re-launch tourism sector in the two countries, having into account the broad common border.

Hage Giengob said that Angolans are the greatest visitors of the Republic of Namibia by seeking for local attractiveness and same reality that can be evidence in Angola with more investment of Namibian entrepreneurs and vice versa.

The delegation of Namibian Trade and Industry is comprised by 80 entrepreneurs and senior officials of Namibia’s government paid a visit to Angola on 5-7 July, aimed at strengthening co-operation ties.
